Reports
"On Saturday 17th October 2009, 30 Heartline members met at Marsden Railway station car park for
a health walk.
Expectations of an extremely pleasant walk on a near perfect morning were satisfied.
Initially heading into Peel Park, along Carrs and Stubbin Roads, dropping down into Cellars Clough and onto the Huddersfield Narrow Canal, then heading back up to Marsden on the tow path, the scenery was as good as any in Yorkshire, the trees in their splendid Autumn colours and clear blue sky, an idyllic setting. The less able walkers completed their journey at the railway station whilst the more robust walkers carried on to Tunnel End and Waters Road for approximately one further mile. Everyone came together at the previously arranged meeting venue of the Riverhead Tap Brewery for what proved to be an excellent lunch."
Please note this was the last walk for 2009 but walks will resume in March 2010 when we hope to see regular walk members and welcome anyone who may care to join Heartline at Lindley Liberal Club on 1st Tuesday of the month at 7.30p |
